Maths in Room 7 - How heavy are we on other planets?

Today in Room 7 Maths we were working out how heavy we are on other planets. Lots of interesting results and lots of inquiring minds working.

Lots of working out and surprising outcomes.

Mini Inquiry

We have been working on our Mini Inquiries and have a variety of topics which we will be presenting next week. These are some of our works in progress.

Book Week Dress-up Day.

Lots of creativity put into the costumes. Well done to all the students and caregivers for making today a fun time.

March of the Penguins.

We are all currently undertaking projects based on our Antarctica Inquiry. To present our work we are each making a Torch Book which will be ready to share soon. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we have making them.

Antarctic ice day.

We tried some experiments to see how the environment effects the erosion of ice.

In our containers we had salt water, tap water, clear ice and we also set up a black light to see if the light and dark effected our results.

Lots of ideas and theories were shared, proved and questioned.

Fun!!!

Glow in the dark icebergs.

Working on our Torch Books.

Today we began work on our Torchlight books which we are creating as part of our Inquiry into Antarctica. Lots of enthusiasm as we are all looking forward to creating something cool and interesting. We look forward to sharing them with you when they are completed.

Mufti for St. John.

Today we were seen in GREEN to support and show our appreciation for the great work that the volunteers of our local St. John team do for our area. Later on we will have an update of how much we raised from our Mufti day.
